BRIEF HISTORY
The journey of DINAPS Schools started from Block 11 Flat 1 LCH Progressive Estate, Off Desalu Street, Ebute Metta (West), Lagos, precisely in February 1985. The founders are Alhaji Selimon Kolawole Alli, Late Wakelat Abiola Alli, and Alhaji Nurudeen Kayode Alli. The school was called Modrasat Nuru-Islamiyyah Wal Arabiyyah School; the teaching was based on Arabic and Islamic Knowledge for the children of the residents.
Progressively, in 1995, the name of the school was changed to De-Light Islamic Nursery and Primary and was moved to Ojo-Oniyun to accommodate the increasing numbers of children. With this increase, the school further moved to Fatiregun Street with the name of the school changed to DINAPS Nursery and Primary School and the school was approved by the state Government in the year 2007 with the spirit of illuminating sound knowledge into the life of Muslim children particularly the less privileged and the female children.
At present, the school can boast of over two hundred (200) students with pre-secondary and post-secondary school education certificates, some of whom are university graduates and undergraduates. The school is situated at 15b, Fatiregun Street, Off Brick field Road, Ilaje, Ebute-Metta (West) in Lagos Mainland Local Government Area of Lagos State, Nigeria and presently having a new site for development in the same location.
The DINAPS High School was established on Monday 19th September, 2011. The establishment was pioneered and managed by the primary school administration of the first HOD – Mrs. Animashaun G. BSc. Computer with five other teachers from the primary school including the Head Teacher – Mrs. Iyiola Omotola Fatimo. The school started with three students (Master Musa Ismail, Master Raji Abdul Lateef and Miss Agboola Monsurat).
On 4th February, 2013 the school got approval letter from Lagos State Ministry of Education to bear the name DINAPS High School. Subsequently, Certificate of Registration of Business Name was given through Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) of Federal Republic of Nigeria on 20th September, 2013.
